Set across 20 hectares on the Ionian coast of Puglia, Masseria Agave is a luxury agricultural estate with four private villas, a shared Club House, and a 12-hectare Primitivo DOC vineyard operated in partnership with Tenute Bruno — a respected Maruggio cellar farming this land for over a century.

Each residence honours the Salento landscape — dry-stone walls, centuries-old olive groves, and panoramic views stretching to the sea. This is not a hotel. It is a place to belong.

The 12-hectare Primitivo DOC vineyard is owned and operated by Tenute Bruno (tenutebruno.it), a hundred-year-old Maruggio cellar in our family of partners. Their premium label, Commenda Magistrale (commendamagistrale.com) — named for the Knights of Malta who governed Maruggio from 1317 to 1819 — will be the signature wine of Agave’s guest experiences, cellar dinners, and enoturismo programme.

The estate is 600 metres from the sea and shares its eastern boundary with La Maviglia — the €200M luxury resort by Oppenheim Architecture, opening 2027. The Founder

Family land.
An architect's vision.

Masseria Agave is built on land inherited from my grandmother — the last trace of an ancient aristocratic family that lost everything but this soil. I grew up knowing that one day I would return to build something worthy of it. Nearly thirty years of architectural practice between Italy and the United Kingdom gave me the tools. This project is that promise kept.

I designed every building on the estate, obtained the Permesso di Costruire, and will lead construction through to handover. Masseria Agave is not a development I found — it is one I inherited, designed, and am building with my own hands. That is the difference.
